MARSBREV FRA KENYA

  • Fra: Joram Kingori.
  • Dato: 3.mars 2008
  • I hope all is well with your soul. I'm fine with my wife. Its long since i emailed you.
  • I've been on outreach and it was not easy to keep in touch. i also happy that in 1st time this year we can enjoy peace in kenya.surely god has been good to us.we now pray that God will heal the ailing hearts.many people have lost lives, property and others raped.may God forgive kenyans.
  • Due to unrest in Kenya it affected our april dts.many some students withdrew leaving us with few.after prayer we felt its good we cancel and use that time to rest and reflect as we prepare for our october school.our God is good that our identity is not in the doing but in the being.
  • We had a good time in outreach. God spoke to us and we experienced his goodness.we visited unreached people groups in north eastern and coastal part of Kenya. We traveled near the border of Somalia where we worked with Bonni tribe.its a community with 6000pple.all are Muslims.
  • We donated a tank to them which will collect water from a mosque. We put gutters which is the only iron sheet building.we were building relationship so that we can open doors for Christians.
  • This time we had to do things differently from the way we are used to.we learn that its good to share the love of god and if necessary we use words.actions speak louder.we did not openly share about our faith but the admitted we are different and unique.they opened door for us and god willing we shall go back.
  • We went outreach when Kenya had unrest.just the eve of graduation a peace deal was reached.our graduation saw different tribes coming and smiles evident.we graduated last Friday. God is good.
  • Keep us in prayers.also as a family we are expecting a baby this year.may be in the of august.
  • We are also thinking to start a project that can suppport us as we serve. Sometimes life is challeging in missions.we need to be prepared as we expect a baby.
  • But for the six years in missions i have seen God. He has been faithful and i give glory to him.
  • I'm sending the outrech newletter sooooooooon.

Thanks for your prayers for outreach and Kenya.

May God blesss you.

  • hoping to hear from you.
