  • Hi I hope all is well with you. Im keeping you in touch with what is happening in Kenya. On 27 th of december we had our elections. Our for president Kibaki won the elections but there were some flaws in vote counting. This brought chaos in most of areas in Kenya. The peace we had experienced past year was no more. Now 200 ppple are dead and its still not well. My tribe kikuyu has been targeted since the president is kikuyu. The aspirant who lost is Raila from luo tribe. , many kikuyus have been killed,70000 left homeless from different tribes, many women raped in Nairobi slums ,children are dying, property burnt, shop routed.
  • The worst happened 2 days ago when women and children in Rift Valley province were hiding in a church and all were burnt inside. There is still chaos in Nairobi. many foreigners are leaving the country. Our airport is busy now as foreigners leaving. Many missionaries are also leaving. None of my students are leaving yet, but friends and parents are calling all the time.
  • In our base the area is safe and no signs of clashes. We are planning to start out outreach next week but worsens we might cancel it and wait to see what will happen. In our school we have 13 westeners. This is the time we need to agree in prayer and call for peace.. Me as a kikuyu some parts of our country I cant go.We are being killed. My wife is luo she cant travel especially in my home area in central Kenya neither can I travel to her home area in western Kenya.. Tribal clashes have affected us. Please pray for Kenya that peace will come back.

Bra innlegg, Åse. Krisen i Kenya kommer nærmere når man leser om den på din blogg.

Vi må be for Kenya.
